Therapist Safety: Professional Boundary Training for Massage Therapists

Two-Day In-Person Workshop

No one prepares massage therapists for this part of the profession—we do. This immersive two-day workshop goes far beyond traditional ethics education, providing practical, real-world training to help you recognize red flags, establish strong professional boundaries, prevent inappropriate situations, and confidently manage difficult client interactions.

Through interactive discussions, real-life case studies, role-playing scenarios, and instructor-led coaching, you'll develop the skills and confidence to respond professionally under pressure and create a safer practice for yourself and your clients.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive 16 hours of Texas Continuing Education credit.

By the end of this workshop, you'll be able to:

  • Recognize early warning signs and behavioral red flags.

  • Establish and maintain strong professional boundaries.

  • Prevent many inappropriate situations before they occur.

  • Respond confidently and professionally to inappropriate client behavior.

  • Practice communication and de-escalation techniques through guided scenarios.

  • Know when and how to safely end a session.

  • Properly document incidents and understand your reporting options.

  • Implement proven policies and procedures that strengthen therapist safety.

  • Leave feeling more confident, prepared, and in control of every client interaction.

You'll have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss real-world situations, practice your responses, and receive personalized feedback in a supportive learning environment.
