Hello, I'm Lisa Robertson, founder of Integrative Touch Institute.

I founded Integrative Touch Institute to provide massage therapists with education that goes beyond traditional CE courses—training that delivers practical skills you can use throughout your career.

Beyond Ethics was created after decades of working to solve a problem many therapists face: how to handle inappropriate clients, boundary violations, and sexual predators professionally and confidently. Through experience, education, and years of refining policies and procedures, I developed systems that helped keep these individuals out of my practice while strengthening professional boundaries and therapist safety.

I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2000 and a licensed massage instructor. My background includes advanced training in multiple modalities, with a focus on pain management, injury recovery, and stone therapy. In recent years, I have also developed a strong interest in nervous system regulation and helping clients better understand the relationship between stress, recovery, and overall well-being.

Today, my mission is to help other therapists gain the same confidence, protection, and practical tools so they can focus on what they do best: helping their clients while building successful, sustainable careers.
